Mr. Debaprasad Barad, was born in a small cottage and in a middle class family located in Dianipatana, Asarala, Khordha, Odisha, India. Mr. Debaprasad grew up in Mud houses and thatched roofs littered the small village that has a population of ~5000. He started his preliminary schooling in an ancient age school, typically an old house made of mud walls and thatched roof but with a roof of asbestos. He grew up and started his early career in a village where there was a lack of basic amenities like electric supply, telephone facility, communication facility, etc. He completed his early schooling around the year 2000. He started upper primary school in the same village in the year of 2001 to 2003. He joined his high school in 2003 and completed his matriculation (10th) in the same village (Asarala) in 2006. His schooling journey was in a very classical model where the basic facilities were not available in the school like computers, internet access and smart class, etc. After his schooling, he joined a technical trade course referred as I.T.I in the specialization of Electronics and completed it with distinction in the year of 2008. He studied with his ability and got maximum help from his teachers. He couldn't afford coaching classes up to his Diploma engineering course. He completed his Diploma in Engineering in 2011. He graduated with B. Tech. degree from Biju Patnaik University of Technology in the year 2014.
Next, he chose the research carrier in radio frequency and electromagnetic fields. He acquired research experience of 4 years in the field of RF (radio frequency) and Antennas. During the research fellowship, he is driven by the science and engineering development in this field. He focuses on building his career in RF and electromagnetics. In the due course of time, he received a positive response from the University of Surrey, Korea University, and a few other international universities for Direct Ph.D. admission. Also, he received an offer from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru to work on the 5G test bed project and received an offer from M/S Astra Microwave product ltd. to work on the Defense and Aerospace project. Finally accepted the offer received from M/S Astra Microwave Product Ltd. to work as a Senior Engineer in a Defense and Aerospace project and joined in the organization in 2018. In the very next year in Astra he was taken over the charge of Technical Lead for Rf and Antenna R&D group. He built and managed the team since 2019, the team is featuring the RF and Antenna R&D activity of the organization. Recently he joined IISC to continue his Post-Graduate studies. He is currently pursuing his M. Tech (Research) in ECE, IISC under the supervision of Prof. Debdeep Sarkar. He is working on multi-band Phased array System and Massive MIMO technology for 5G and beyond communication systems.
