About

Dear Roommate began as an initiative of Howard University's Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs in January 2019. It was created as an opportunity for students to discuss roommate issues, get advice from each other, and hear from University experts.

The podcast started with seven rotating student hosts. The first episode was published on February 14, 2019.

In September 2019, students officially took on the full production, planning, hosting, and editing of the podcast. New cast members expanded the team, allowing for Dear Roommate to add new products to its brand, including video and live events.
