In 2003 James Schleicher and Jimmy Mrozek got an opportunity to play the talent show at Willoughby's own Oktoberfest and soon the Dear Jimmy Band was born. The name stemming from the two original members' first names as well as a column that band member Schleicher wrote in the school newspaper while attending Notre Dame College.
Soon the band began performing smaller acoustic shows in the area. After a few years the band extended an invite to Michael Clements to play drums at a few shows, which turned into membership into the group from Clements which enhanced the sound that the band was looking for.
Then in 2015 the group rounded out with the addition of the multi-talented Joel McDaniel on the keys and in early 2016 added the immensely talented Bob Wick as the full-time drummer.
Since then the group has played many shows to diverse venues including performances for Cleveland Scene Magazine's Downtown Willoughby Rib Burn Off and an appearance on the highly rated Fox 8 News in the Morning show.
