1998 - I am an established graphic designer specialising in high-end commercial cover design for local government and airports. I qualify as a Psychologist specializing in Stress. I see a few clients on a one to one basis and get asked by a woman I helped to give a talk on my natural stress control techniques for a WI in Cheshire. This turned out to be my eureka moment, realising that firstly I could help so many more people by becoming a public speaker, and secondly, I really enjoyed talking with an audience. I didn't feel nervous beforehand and to this day never do, my events aren't about me, they're about my audiences. All things considered, 1998 was quite the year!
2012 - I decide to close my business to focus all my attention on delivering stress talks and a new area of creativity which grew out of this, storytelling and lyrical poetry. I present a syndicated weekly radio show Campfire Storytelling, based on the millennia old tradition of Bards sitting around a fire outdoors telling stories. The show grows in popularity to reach half a million listeners each week. Soon I will get asked to become the resident poet on my local TV station.
2021 - After the powers that shouldn't be decided we can all mix again, after the horrendously mismanaged lockdown debacle, I opted to drop all my media work, concentrating energies on my first loves creatively, namely writing and touring. This seemed like a great plan at the time and I've been continuing doing the same ever since.
