Dallas ISD families, save the date for Discover Dallas ISD, the annual event highlighting all the programs offered at the district’s legacy schools as well as the hundreds of specialty programs and schools that could be the best-fit educational choice for students. Discover Dallas ISD will take place starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Automobile Building at Fair Park. Early Learning will host a pop up within Discover to offer services to families to support prekindergarten registration for specialty schools. District team members will be at the event ready to help families apply on site for the school of their choice. Don't miss out on this great event. For more information, visit www.DallasISD.org/Discover.
Students who are attending Tournament 1 this Saturday, October 25th, are allowed to stay after school on Wednesday or Thursday to work with their partners and prepare.

Dealey parents, we need your photos and videos to help make our Auction dinner slideshow shine! ✨ Please upload your favorite snapshots and clips from this year to the appropriate folder in the Dropbox link below. We will be collecting them over the next few months. If your submission includes other children, just check with their parents first. Don’t worry—these will only appear in the slideshow and not on public webpages. Let’s celebrate our kids and make this year’s Auction extra fun! 🎉
Dallas police have been patrolling during carpool hours this past week. Please remember that when driving south on Edgemere, turning left onto Royal Lane is against city ordinance during school drop off and pick up hours. Police are enforcing this rule and will issue citations. ⚠️
Dealey’s annual Fall Festival will be held on Friday, November 8th, and we need your help to make it a success!
This beloved tradition brings our community together to celebrate, and it wouldn’t be possible without the support of our amazing volunteers. There are a variety of fun stations that need helping hands, and we’d love for you to be part of making this year’s festival joyful and memorable for our kids.
For questions, please reach out to Jaclyn Kitchens at 1stvp@dealeypta.org.
The Healthy Lifestyles Committee will continue the Veggie Star Lunch Program this month. The event will take place on October 20 during lunch in the school cafeteria—though the specific day will remain a surprise for students. During the event, parent volunteers will help “catch” students enjoying their vegetables by writing their names on raffle tickets. One winner will be selected from each cohort (PreK/K, Grades 1–3, Grades 4–5, and Grades 6–8). Up to three parent volunteers may participate per shift, with two shifts available. Those interested in volunteering may sign up using the SignUpGenius link provided. A flyer with additional details is attached.
Dear families,
We’re thrilled to share that we’re heading to London and Paris in Summer 2027, and we’d love for your student to join us!
This is an incredible opportunity for students to explore new places, experience different cultures, and gain lifelong skills like independence and confidence. I’ll be sharing all the details, including what we’ll see and do, hands-on learning activities, academic opportunities, trip costs, and how to secure a spot at our informational meeting.
Enrollment is open—spots are limited, and I would love to help you secure this experience for your child!
In the meantime, please visit EF’s website to get answers to common parent questions. EF Tours is our trusted travel partner, and they have 60 years of experience helping students explore the world safely and affordably.
I hope to see you there and look forward to sharing how this trip can be a powerful and unforgettable chapter in your child’s life!
Best,
John Davidson

Ideas include: uniforms shirts; uniform pants/shorts; Dealey wear; jackets, sweaters and coats; school supplies such as binders, pencil packs, paper, backpacks; soccer cleats, uniforms, shorts, etc..
