With over 900 beds we provide a wide range of services from obstetrics to aged care, rehabilitation, emergency and intensive care, oncology, psychiatric services and Hospital in the Home (HITH). As well as paediatric, cardiology and neurology services. In addition to providing quality, accessible health care services we are a teaching hospital and have a history of contributing to medical research.
Peninsula Health provides medical and surgical services. These are supported by 10 Operating Suites, Intensive and Coronary Care Units and a state-of-the art Emergency Department. Surgical services (both at Frankston Hospital and Frankston Public Surgical Centre) including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Plastics, Vascular, Paediatric Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Cardiothoracic, Ear Nose & Throat, FacioMaxilliary and Urology.

Parking
On-site parking is expensive so most students park in the surrounding streets where there is free all day parking (try Foot or side streets off Williams St), but check the signs as some areas have limited hours. From there it is a short walk across the George Pentland Gardens. If you hold a student concession card, the visitor onsite parking rate is $22.50 for the week. Concession card discounts can be accessed at the Frankston Hospital Cashier at Main Reception.
Public Transport
Frankston train station is a 17-20 minute walk from the Frankston Hospital. Peninsula Bus Line Services run from Frankston Station in Young Street (775, 776, 782 and 783) stop, opposite Frankston Hospital on Hastings Road. Buses to Frankston Station (772, 774, 775, 776, 782 and 783) stop directly outside the hospital
Free Park-n-Ride*
Located at Harvey Norman in the underground car park off Cranbourne road. The trip from Harvey Norman to the Frankston Hospital Main Entrance/GLR takes around 8-10 minutes, please see the map below; shuttle buses will be running all day. Or park ‘n’ walk the short distance (15 minutes) to Frankston Hospital. The Park ‘n’ Ride will operate: Monday – Friday (exc. Public holidays) First bus from Harvey Norman - 6.30am (approx.) Last bus from Frankston Hospital Main Entrance - 6pm (approx.)
*Park-n-Ride may be finishing as the building works complete. There will be more street parking available as the trades finish up on the new build.
