Last year, I was blessed with the opportunity to host series of art workshops at the Katonah Library. The objective was to teach kids how to use recyclable materials to make art - and to use this art to explore their relationship to the community.  The workshop was a great success and we found that connecting with each other and the community helped us get in better touch with ourselves. 

In the months that followed, I knew I wanted to host a similar workshop with adults and to explore more complex themes - and I knew I wanted to work with people whose lives have been affected by addiction.  I have lost several close friends to drugs and alcohol addiction and I know that our community is affected by these losses everyday. 

The Inner Bridges workhop is open to anyone who has personal experience with substance use disorder or for friends, family and loved ones who have been impacted. During this workshop, we will learn new methods for creating art and explore themes relevant to recovery. 

The workshop will run from 1030 - noon on the following Saturdays in Nanuet, NY.
