Hi, I'm Thien-An, also known as Deadbeat Tattoos. 

Ever since I can remember I have been drawing. As a self-taught artist, I’ve spent most of my life obsessively making things, experimenting, and figuring it out as I go. Creating is my biggest passion.

I spent three years as a tattoo artist, starting by tattooing my own skin and learning from every mistake. It was honestly a privilege to create art that people choose to wear for the rest of their lives. I'll never get over that. I met so many dope people and had the chance to collaborate with artists I'd admire for years.

These days, I’m a Textile Designer at Dangerfield— which is funny, because I never imagined I’d end up in fashion. I had zero industry experience, but figured I had nothing to lose. Turns out it's been one of the coolest experiences I've had. Now I get to combine my love of illustration with wearable art, creating prints that are a little weird, and (hopefully) getting people's attention.
