~ about me ~

My name is Joel Emmons..

..I am a twenty year old semi professional photographer and videographer. I am originally from coastal Rhode Island but moved to Southern Vermont at very impressionable age. In the lifetime I have experienced so far, I have learned to love and appreciate both states for their individual unique and charming qualities.

Fast forward to 2019,

I am just beginning to dip my feet into the necessities of adulthood. One of which being the need and desire to have a career and strong resume that will be essential for progressing in my professional career paths.

So instead,

I have set my sights on doing something for a career that I have done and enjoyed since I was very young, and that was photography. It all started when I was very little, I would get in the spotlight and the center of attention whenever the opportunity presented itself. Once I got old enough to hold a camera I was in love with taking pictures. But I only rarely got to use my parents' cameras and in my secondary schooling days my passion fell off. However, when I turned eighteen my mom gave me some money that had been given to her at my baby shower and I took that straight to Amazon and bought a DSLR camera, the same one I still use today.

I haven't let a good photo op pass me up since!

- Experience: Six years of beginner, intermediate and finally advanced photography experience.

- Preferred types of shooting: Luxury vehicles/ uncommon vehicles, nature, people, videography.

- Career path: Goal to be a dealer photographer part time and eventually start shooting privately for owners and work independently. Hoping for it to be a part time career, unless there is a very favorable outcome and worth to pursue photography full time.

- I strictly shoot: on a Canon Rebel T6i & iPhone X.
