Accommodation

Accommodation for the nights of the symposium (1st and 2nd night) is being provided free of charge. The accommodation will be in a single or twin sharing room as available. We will confirm this in the week beginning the 15th of December 2022.

Travel support

The travel support will cover up to $250 per person. We will book the flight tickets or make other arrangements for everyone availing travel support. Please bear in mind:

1. We expect to be able to cover most (perhaps all) people that need to travel. However, we have limited funding and will confirm whether we can arrange your travel on the week beginning the 15th of December 2022 once we have an idea of numbers/interest.

2. If we cannot cover all participants, the DD2023 committee will make the decision based on a mix of regional allocation and first come first serve.

3. This subsidy is unlikely to cover your full travel costs. We suggest you approach alternative funding sources to cover the outlay.

To qualify for accommodation and travel support:

1. Please register before 13th November 2022.

2. Please note that providing an abstract and presenting your research in a 3-minute-thesis (3MT) style is a requirement for DD2023 funding. A separate form will be shared closer to the conference dates for abstract and 3MT submission. The funding will be withheld if you fail to submit the abstract and 3MT.

Limited accommodation and travel support is available. We do not guarantee everyone fulfilling 1 and 2 above will be provided accommodation and travel support.
