About

What are the DCPL HelpPages?

The DeKalb County Public Library (DCPL) HelpPages is a directory of local community resources and facilities for those in need. These community resources are categorized based on need such as food pantry, shelter, or legal aid. Each category has listings with contact information as well as other important information.

How do I use this resource?

This directory acts as a stepping stone to finding the right assistance locally. Some of the resources are best found in Atlanta or in the Metro area but the DCPL HelpPages puts an emphasis on DeKalb County resources. Each resource includes an address that links directly to GoogleMaps to help find directions.

To use, click on the category at the top of the page that fits your assistance needs. A phone number is provided to contact the facility or resource directly and ensure entry or assistance.

If you have several needs, we have a special category called 24/7 Places that can provide assistance on multiple fronts for a larger window of time and with minimal entry requirements.

What can a library staff member do to help?

Library staff can help patrons find the best resource or facility that fits their need as well as print directions and other information from the website. Library staff will not be able to provide direct aid.

What if a listing has incorrect information?

This community directory was created in collaboration with the resources listed and information provided is based upon our direct contact or what is available on their website. If a community listing on our webpage contains any incorrect information, a broken web link, or if the facility listed is now closed, please contact us immediately at helppages@dekalblibrary.org.
