Our anticipated Fun Fair is officially one month away! We are so excited to celebrate this extraordinary event with you all!

Date: Friday, May 22nd, 20206
Time: 5-8 pm

This year’s event will include signature games, games for toddlers, the dessert trot, a silent auction, class basket raffle, a candy/craft jar game, plus more!

There will also be an outdoor BBQ serving hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, veggie hot dogs, a concession, popcorn, and samosas! We ask that you come hungry!

To make your experience at Fun Fair as easy as possible, pre-sales for game wristbands, the BBQ, and other extras will be available on Munchalunch starting May 4, 2026. The wristbands and tickets will also be available to purchase the day of the event at the ticket sales tent with debt, credit card, or cash. The event is open to everyone - not just our school - so please invite your family and friends to join!

Thank you again for supporting this special event. It takes many hands and a collective community to host such a memorable evening for our children, so we are grateful for your support, ideas, contributions and time. Please feel free to get in touch with us anytime about Fun Fair related items.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We need volunteers as part of the planning and preparation phase and during the event! If we do not have volunteer positions filled in advance, we will not be able to host this amazing event! There are over 100 volunteer opportunities. Please consider signing up for a shift or two to ensure we can properly execute the Fun Fair!

CANDY & CRAFT JARS

Included with the signature games wristband is an opportunity to win a candy or craft jar! Participants will play a game to win a corresponding candy or craft jar (limited to one per wristband)

In order to host this game, we are asking parents and students fill empty jars (new or clean, used jars) with their favorite candy or craft supplies for this game. If you are unable to make the jars but can provide the candy or crafts, please bring your items to your child’s classroom’s Fun Fair collection box between May 8-21. We would not be able to host this unique DC tradition without your support so we thank you in advance!

DESSERT TROT

This fun, musical game gives players a chance to win a sweet treat and we need the help of our community to make it happen!

Families are invited to donate a homemade or store-bought cake or baked treat for prizes. Please ensure all donated items are nut-free and securely wrapped. Dessert drop-offs will take place the the morning of Friday, May 22. No cakes can be accepted after 12:00pm on event day.

SILENT AUCTION & CLASS BASKETS

This year, event attendees can bid on silent auction items and play for a ‘chance to win’ a themed basket in our Class Basket Raffle. We are asking parents to help contribute to this important part of our fundraiser and contribute to your child's classroom themed basket. Items can be large (i.e. a shovel for the garden) or small (i.e. a candle from the dollar store) - whatever fits best for your family and child's classroom theme.
