What began as a modest karinderya and neighborhood botika—offering affordable meals and everyday essentials—has grown into one of Davao’s most beloved dining institutions. Over 50 years ago, D’Counter started by serving simple home-style dishes to the community, with grilled barbecue cooked right on the sidewalk. Today, that same passion continues to define who we are.

Now known as a go-to restaurant for Davaoeños craving the original D’Counter barbecue, classic kinilaw, and even bagaybay for the more adventurous palate, D’Counter has proudly stood the test of time.

As our menu expanded, so did our reputation. From hearty silog meals and generous food trays to our well-loved “BBQ in Bilao” platters, D’Counter continues to perfect both flavor and service. Our signature offerings celebrate the best of local cuisine—bringing together barbecue favorites, vegetable dishes, pancit canton, and kinilaw in one large bilao (a woven bamboo tray lined with banana leaf), creating iconic BBQ Platters and Boodle Meals that capture Davao’s original flavors in every serving.

Innovation has always been part of our story. One standout creation is the Beef Tenderloin Tips, crafted by owner Cynthia Liston—a flavorful twist on the classic bistek tagalog, served with caramelized onions and potato wedges. Alongside this, our ever-growing selection of party-sized food trays has become a favorite for celebrations, potlucks, and special gatherings.
