Volunteer service includes travel time for volunteer activities and MG meetings but does not include continuing education (classroom hours or travel time).

Master Gardener volunteers are required to self-report their hours. This is critical for the success and continued support of the DC Master Gardener program. Quantifying time invested in volunteer activities and the number of people reached through our initiatives are important measures that demonstrate the worth of the Master Gardener Volunteer Program. Potential funding is more easily attained when significant efforts and impact can be proven. Please remember to log your hours at least once a month.
