Club History
The D-City Field Hockey Club was established in 2019 by the Davis High School Head Coach Elizabeth Hogan in an effort to rebrand the former Davis local Field Hockey Club the 'Mad Cows Club' which she inherited. D-City was then established as a nonprofit club and continue to nurture stellar Field Hockey players in the Davis and surrounding areas of Northern California.
Our goal is to provide an opportunity to access the sport of Field Hockey for girls and boys of all ages in our local community to be able to access a pathway to a High School varsity team, the NCAA or the Olympics. We consistently look to bring out quality coaching for our members on an international level playing surface, hence why we have employed some of the coaches around and play on the UC Davis water based Field Hockey turf. This ensures that we provide the best opportunities for our players to grow and be the best they can be.
Additionally our club focuses on feeding athletes to pursue opportunities to represent the USA with the Field Hockey National Teams or further their education playing Field Hockey at the Collegiate level. This is something that we hold dear to us should that be the athletes personal goal and we ensure to give the athlete all the help need by making it our personal goal as well.
