| Prior to joining The Insurgency, Abigail was a civilian resident of Portland, Oregon. On 8/24/2020, Insurgency fireteam "Volk" was deployed to investigate and retrieve UA-204. Due to short notice and a severe lack of intel, fireteam Volk came into conflict with a detachment of Foundation Task Force Epsilon-6, who were presumed to be after the same anomaly.
UA-204 was located in the same city block as Abigail's area of residence. Because of an emphasis on Volk's speed in this deployment, the fireteam failed to fully conceal themselves. Abigail would catch glimpses of the fireteam weaving through the streets and alleyways, at one point even observing them breaking and entering into an unused building. The unmarked operatives caught Abigail's curiosity, prompting her to spend the following four days observing the fireteam's actions from safe vantage points across the city block. Abigail was able to consistently keep track of their actions during their hours of operation in the night time, where the fireteam assumed themselves safe from prying eyes. On the fourth night of Abigail's observations on Volk, she became uneasy upon finding that the team had entered a nearby warehouse and hadn't emerged for several hours, breaking their usual pattern of movement. With curiosity taking precedence over her safe distance, Abigail would approach the warehouse and begin her search for the fireteam. Approximately 20 minutes into her search, the recent path of disturbance left by the team would lead her to an alleyway between the warehouse and an unused apartment complex. Upon entering the alleyway, Abigail would find a lone Epsilon-6 operative standing amongst the remains of fireteam Volk. While the Epsilon-6 operative faced the last surviving member of Volk, Abigail charged forward and tackled the unsuspecting operative to the ground. Due to a complete lack of close-quarters training, Abigail was overpowered by the operative and sustained multiple injuries, notably severe head trauma and a deep stab wound through their abdomen. Although they failed to take control of the situation, Abigail had managed to distract the E-6 operative long enough for Volk-3 to release themselves from their restraints and grab a discarded sidearm. Volk-3 terminated the Epsilon-6 operative before they were able to kill Abigail, afterwards transporting Abigail to a nearby hospital for treatment of their wounds.
As the last surviving member, Volk-3 elected to offer Abigail the decision to be amnesticized of the encounter and all her knowledge regarding the past week's events, or to join The Insurgency and work alongside them in fireteam Volk. Abigail elected to retain their memories and join the fireteam, where she would continue Volk's mission of anomaly retrieval from urban environments. Following her training, Abigail's consistent successful operations, and the speed at which she completed them would push her through the ranks, eventually earning her the position of a Prospect of The Disciples. On 1/27/2026, Abigail was deemed unfit to become a Disciple by "Despot", who transferred Abigail to Cell-Ω-2 shortly after.
