Lunch coupons for registered participants can be used at the designated station '봄이온소반'(Soban) in the student center cafeteria '행단골'(Hangdangol).
Lunch is served only from 12:10 to 13:10 (12:30 - 13:30 in Friday)
To get to the cafeteria: Once you leave the workshop building's main gate, follow the route on the map. Use the big glass library building as a landmark.
We also offer a vegan option. If you would like one, please let Sin-Myung know by 11:00 AM each morning.
Coffee and refreshments, including vegan-friendly Hangwa, will be provided.
The banquet is scheduled for the dinner of 23rd (Thu), at the lobby outside the lecture room.
General tips for getting around
General tips for getting around
TMoney card is the easiest way to enjoy public transportations in Korea and can be purchased/topped up (only by cash) at any convenience store.
Local maps (e.g. Naver map, Kakao map) are often more reliable than Google Maps.
To grab a taxi, we recommend to use a taxi app such as Kakao T or Uber.
Credit cards are the most common and preferred payment method, except possibly at street food stalls and traditional markets where you may need cash.
The weather in July is extremely hot and humid; always be careful of heatstroke.
Update: Korea is now in its rainy season, so it might rain on and off during the workshop. Due to the extra humidity, this does not always mean it is cooler!

If you are looking for a place to shop, Starfield Suwon is a great choice. You wouldn't want to miss the Starfield library!

Unfortunately, vegan/vegetarian options are quite limited in Suwon. Here are a few suggestions:
Poke all day : (Korean style?) Poke bowls and salads, with a good variety of vegan toppings.
Bonjuk : The menus in the traditional juk category are all vegan. Note that their 'vegetable juk' contains beef bone broth, and two animal-based side dishes are also provided. Despite this, don't miss out on their Dongchimi!
Bella Tunisia : Tunisian/mediterranean restaurant with vegan dishes.
Anuk : Italian restaurant with a few vegetarian menus.
계절곳간(season.storage) : famous for vegan gimbaps, located near Suwon Hwaseong (not the campus!).
