Sensory Accommodations
What are (Sensory) Accommodations?
Sensory Accommodations refers to adjustments made to reduce sensory stimuli and discomfort.
Accommodations can be a range of things that address the 5 senses and/or environmental factors. They can be big adjustments or relatively small in practice but can make a big impact on those around you.
For neurodivergent individuals, accommodations can make it easier to process information and/or feel more comfortable in different spaces.
