Materials:
Paper and drawing materials such as colored pencils, markers, pastels, crayons, or paint.
Optional: Printed mandala template
Instructions:
Choose one emotion you are feeling right now. Create a mandala using colors, shapes, and textures that match how that emotion feels in your body. You might use sharp shapes, curved shapes, bright colors, dull tones, or soft pastels. Let your emotion guide your design.
Goals:
This activity supports emotional awareness and expression. By translating a current emotion into a visual form, you increase your ability to identify and describe how emotions show up in your body. This promotes DBT emotion regulation skills such as checking the facts and increasing emotional understanding.
