DISCOVERY BAY SENIOR MEN’S GOLF CLUB

Vice President and Membership Chair

Welcome to the Senior Men’s Golf Club.  We are a group of 50(+) year old members of Discovery Bay Country Club with a USGA GHIN handicap.

The benefits of being a member are the opportunity to meet and play with new golf partners, and make new friends in a relaxed, friendly and social environment while playing the wonderful game of golf.

The Club has an elected Board of Directors consisting of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Wednesday Play Coordinator, Team Captain, Team Co-Captain, and Club Secretary.

As a member, you can enjoy an array of events each year comprising weekly Wednesday Play, Home and Away events with various Country Clubs in the area, events for members to enjoy at the club like the Spring Kick-off, Fall general meeting, Ladies&Gents tournament, Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot, Club Championship, Christmas Luncheon and our flagship event of the year and our only fundraiser, the Senior Men’s Invitational.  Proceeds of the Invitational go to two charities, Liberty High School Boys/Girls golf program and the NCPGA Foundation Hope Mission.  These events are posted on the Senior Club’s Website, https://sites.google.com/view/dbseniorsgolf/home which can be easily accessed and become a go-to source for information of the club and all events.

Registration for all the Clubs Events can be made through the Country Club’s Golfessential website under Calendar.  Each Event has a registration deadline along with a 24 hour cancellation policy.

The most frequent event in the Clubs calendar is Wednesday Play with an assortment of formats for friendly competition by individuals and team play.  Once you have registered to play, you will need to check-in with the Wednesday Play Coordinator one hour prior to a shotgun start.  Please be respectful of all event check-in times. The Club will charge your Country Club account a $5 fee which goes to a prize fund for each event with the winnings in the form of ProShop credits.

Along with Wednesday Play, a separate Voluntary skins game is available at a nominal fee, and all winnings are paid in cash.

You only need to submit a completed Registration form and pay the annual dues to become a member.

Again the Club welcomes you and let’s have some fun.
