How we Support our Music Programs

Who we are, why we do it, and what do the Booster's exactly do?

Who we are? We are just like you, first and foremost, parents. Our student's access to the various instrumental, vocal, and music programs are an important ingredient in obtaining a complete education. The Booster's main objective is helping our music teaching staff and students achieve this goal. Most of our work is behind the scenes or thru constant communication with our DB music family. But there are many times you will see our Booster group working hard with our staff and students. Below are some examples of what we do as a group.

  • Purchased instruments (Ukuleles) for use in the elementary music program
  • Aid teacher requests for purchasing music and equipment
  • Pay for repairing district owned instruments due to normal wear and tear
  • Pizza parties throughout the year for all our schools band and choral programs
  • Assist the Marching Blazers with chaperoning, construction, logistics (moving the band and guard around venues), uniforms, and sewing to name a few
  • Assist our directors with keeping Charms up to date
  • Coordinate set-up, volunteers and break-down for our annual DB High School Jazz Fest, Indoor Percussion and Winter Guard Shows
  • Aid in purchasing new uniforms for our HS programs
  • Order, deliver, and coordinate various Spirit Wear and fundraising campaigns
  • Work jointly with the Sports Boosters to maintain the concessions during football games

This is just a small list of things our dedicated group of Boosters do for our talented students. Ask how you can get involved!
