Disclaimer:

Due to the nature of this project, we are currently unsure of how many seniors and community members are willing to participate and therefore, cannot guaruntee that every senior will receive a care package. By signing up for this project you are entering for a chance to receive a care package from a community member. We will do our best to try to ensure as many seniors as possible receive packages. We will provide updates regarding participation and your likelihood of receiving a package in the future.

Important Dates and Deadlines:

Friday, March 26 is the last day for seniors to sign up for a chance to win a care package.

Seniors who receive care packages should pick them up after school on the following days:

Seniors with last names A-J: Monday, May 17

Seniors with last names K-Z: Tuesday, May 18

Any senior who is unable to pick up their care package on their designated pick-up day can pick it up after school on Wednesday, May 19.

If you have a special circumstance and are completely unable to pick up your package on any of the designated days, please email us at dbadopt21@gmail.com and we will discuss alternative solutions.

Photos

Seniors! After you have received your package, we would love you to take a photo with it and email it to us at dbadopt21@gmail.com. Please title the subject "Senior Photo" to help us keep track. After our project has concluded, we would love to add an image carousel to our website to showcase your smiling faces and let community members see the impact they have had. This is absolutely not a requirement. Only send us a photo if you are okay with us displaying it on our website. Thanks so much for your participation!

FAQ:

Q: If I sign up for this project, who will my information be shared with?

A: Personal information such as your email, will only be seen by project group members. The information you fill out regarding your college, snack preferences, etc. as well as your name and homeroom will be shared with the community member who adopts you.

Q: What is the point of signing up if I may not receive a package?

A: Think of this project like a lottery. By signing up, you have a chance to receive a care package at no cost to you.

Q: If there are not enough community members for every senior to receive a care package, how will you determine who gets one?

A: Community members and seniors will randomly be paired, so whether or not you receive a package is completely up to chance.
