For this project, I had to find and share examples of Information Security as reported by the media and evaluate my source. I also completed a certficate from a cybersecurity training.

Lessons Learned
I learned that stories regarding cybersecurity arise in the news everyday. Cybersecurity across the web is constantly being threatened. I learned more about many of these of these threats such as phishing, malware, and ransomware.

Telstra, an Australian telecommunications firm, accidently published the name, address, and numbers of 130,000 of the firms customers who's details were meant to be unlisted. the company blamed to data leak on an "misalignment of databases" and are actively looking into preventing this from happening again

Android app Web Explorer left an open instance exposing user data that can be used to check a specific users browser history. The instance contained days worth of redirect data including country, redirect initiating address, redirect destination address, and user country.
