Participate in worldwide celebrations of your favorite characters days!

Many special character days match either their first manga, anime or movie apparition. Tapion Day, for instance, is celebrated on the release date of Wrath of the Dragon. 

Some of these are widely celebrated by the fandom, but the underlined events are celebrated by the official accounts (either because they're actual dates in verse or because the pun has been marketed).

Some explanations: 

• Saiyan / Vegetable days. Saiya is an anagram on Yasai (vegetable) and they can be read as numbers (318 - 831). All Saiyans are named after vegetables.

• Goku can be read as 5 - 9. It also matches the in verse date of Piccolo Day. Gohan (5-8) and Goten (5-10) follow the same pattern.

• GoChi is celebrated on Tenkaichi Budokai day because it's the day of Goku's proposal. So from May 7th to May 10th, we celebrate the Son Family!

• FriezaDay is a reference to TFS's DBZA.

• Piccolo Day is celebrated in verse by the Demon King Piccolo. It's also Piccolo (Jr)'s birthday.

• Yamcha's and Krillin's birthdays are both given in Weekly Shonen Jump. Other birthdays of OG DB characters were given, but the 2024 calendar only fetched the official birthdays of the 14 calendar men. 

• Gohan's birthday is celebrated in the anime.

• Android Day exists in verse (Future Trunks gives the date of their apparition).

Please note that the Official Dragon Ball accounts also celebrate all special dates in Japan (sunglasses day, tights day, strawberries day, smile day...) by publishing a Dragon Ball panel associated with the theme. These dates, apart from Goku Day, aren't specific to Dragon Ball, and as such aren't listed here.

Manga and Anime special dates

Please note that Manga chapters are published in pre-publication magazines (weekly or monthly). We put in the dates we were able to confirm in the calendar, but it's probable the DB Chapter 1 was available in stores at a different date than the cover date. As such, V Jump may have changed its publication method as the volume from February 2024 was actually sold on December 20th 2023...
