Welcome to Troop 329 - The Aurora -  from Dayton MN! 

We are proud to be a troop that serves both girls and boys, providing every young person the opportunity to explore the outdoors, serve their community, and work toward the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.  Guided by the Scout Oath and Law, we strive to create a safe and inclusive environment where               every Scout can become the best version of themselves.

Why we call ourselves the Aurora Troop from Dayton:

• We aim to be a "Light in the Darkness": The Aurora Borealis represents the ability to find hope and manifest beauty in the bleakest circumstances. This mirrors the Scout's role in serving as a positive influence in their community, even when times are difficult.

• The Northern Lights provide a Guide: Many cultures view the lights as "sky spirits" that guide people through dark times. This reflects the Scout Oath and Scout Law that guides all members of Scouting. 

• Team Work: Scientifically, the aurora is created by the interaction of solar winds, natural elements and the Earth’s magnetic field. This interaction symbolizes a patrol: individual scouts coming together, with a shared purpose to create something brilliant that they couldn't achieve alone. Imagine multiple patrols coming together in the sky to create multiple colors and added brilliance to our community.
