# DaySlate Privacy Policy

**Effective date:** 27 July 2026

DaySlate is an offline-first Android application. This policy describes the

behaviour of version 0.1.0 of the app with application ID

`app.todayplanner.android`.

## Data collection and sharing

DaySlate does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. The app has

no account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or

internet permission.

Task titles, notes, schedules, recurrence settings, completion history, and app

preferences are stored locally on the user's device. Android cloud backup is

disabled for DaySlate.

## Permissions

DaySlate may request notification permission so it can show task reminders

chosen by the user. It also receives the Android boot-completed signal to

restore locally scheduled reminders and refresh the home-screen widget after a

device restart. These operations do not transmit user data.

## Data retention and deletion

Task data remains on the device until the user deletes individual tasks,

clears DaySlate's storage in Android settings, or uninstalls the app. Because

the developer does not receive the data, the developer cannot retrieve or

delete it remotely.

## Children

DaySlate is a general-audience productivity app and is not specifically

directed to children.

## Changes

This policy must be updated before a release introduces any network service,

account, analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or other off-device data

processing.
