If you want a durable, sport-ready carrying solution for your existing OnePlus Buds Z2 that doubles as a keychain accessory, choose DAYJOY 2; if you need a complete set of wireless earbuds with modern connectivity and a splashproof design specifically built for active school use, choose QFX Splashproof.
• DAYJOY 2: Its biggest strength is the rugged silicone protection and integrated carabiner for outdoor sports, but it is merely a case cover and does not include actual earbuds or audio drivers.
• QFX Splashproof: Its biggest strength is the complete TWS system with Bluetooth 5.3, LED battery tracking, and IPX4 splash resistance, though it requires you to select from three included gel tip sizes for fit.
• Who each pick is for: DAYJOY 2 is for students who already own compatible buds and need a tough travel pouch, while QFX Splashproof is for students looking for their first pair of reliable sports earbuds for school.
The DAYJOY 2 is a specialized accessory designed strictly for owners of the OnePlus Buds Z2. It is not a standalone audio device; rather, it is a protective skin sleeve made from high-quality soft silicone. This material choice offers scratch proofing, shock proofing, and an antiskidding surface that ensures the case stays secure in your hand or bag. The product comes in a two-pack, providing a red and green option, which adds a touch of color to your gear without compromising on durability.
For the student athlete, the standout feature here is the anti-lost carabiner. This clip can be fixed directly onto a handbag, backpack, or gym locker strap. This transforms your earbud case into a portable unit that is impossible to leave behind during a busy day of classes or practice. The design includes a specific cutout at the bottom of the case, allowing you to charge your headset without ever needing to remove the silicone cover. This is a practical engineering detail that saves time between study sessions and sports drills.
However, this product has a very narrow scope. If you do not already possess a pair of OnePlus Buds Z2, this purchase will result in an empty shell. It is a "protective skin" solution, meaning it protects the investment you have already made in those specific earbuds. It fits the profile of someone who needs rugged gear for outdoor activities like running or hiking but refuses to carry loose electronics that could get damaged. It is ideal for the user who values organization and physical protection over new audio features, serving as a durable companion for the active student who wants to keep their tech safe.

In contrast, the QFX Splashproof is a complete audio ecosystem designed for users who need a fresh start. This model brings together Bluetooth 5.3 technology, which ensures a quick and stable wireless connection with lower power consumption and extended range compared to older standards. It is built for the classroom and the playground alike, featuring a rugged IPX4 sweat and splashproof design that can withstand the rigors of PE class or unexpected rain on the way home. The inclusion of 10mm dynamic drivers promises punchy bass and detailed mids and highs, making it suitable for listening to lectures, podcasts, and music simultaneously.
Comfort is a major focus for this device, especially for young ears that might struggle with generic fits. The package includes three sets of soft gel inserts in small, medium, and large sizes. This allows the user to customize the seal and weight distribution, ensuring the earbuds stay secure during movement. The charging case itself is a digital hub, featuring an LED display that lets you track battery life at a glance. Instead of guessing how much power remains, you can see the exact percentage before heading out the door.
This product is the clear winner for anyone seeking "sports earbuds for school" who does not currently own a compatible pair. The USB-C fast charging port means you can quickly top up the 300mAh internal capacity of the case, while the earbuds themselves hold a 30mAh charge. With touch controls, managing music and calls becomes intuitive without reaching for a phone. It is designed for the student who needs a self-contained, reliable audio experience that can handle sweat, drops, and daily wear and tear without missing a beat.

After weighing the specifications and intended use cases, I would buy the QFX Splashproof if I were shopping for a student who needed a new pair of headphones. The combination of Bluetooth 5.3, splashproof durability, and customizable ear tips makes it the superior choice for "best clip on earbuds for school" scenarios where the device itself is the primary tool. While the DAYJOY 2 is a clever piece of protective gear, it is ultimately a secondary accessory that depends entirely on another product you must already own. For the "sweatproof open ear earbuds for school" requirement, the QFX delivers a ready-to-use solution that balances performance and resilience perfectly.
The QFX Splashproof features an IPX4 rating, which means it is sweat and splashproof, suitable for intense workouts and light rain, but neither product is designed for submersion in water.
Yes, the QFX model includes touch controls specifically designed to manage both music playback and phone calls seamlessly.
