Welcome to DayBloq. We are committed to protecting your privacy through transparency. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our service. DayBloq acts as the Data Controller for technical data, but you remain the sole owner of your personal content.
Unlike many apps, we believe your thoughts should never leave your pocket unless you want them to.
Zero Access: We do not provide an option to store your entries on our servers. We cannot read, access, or see your journal entries, mood selections, habit data, or uploaded assets.
Local Storage: Your "User Content" is stored exclusively on your device.
Private Backups: You may optionally sync data to Apple iCloud or Google Drive. These backups are stored in your private cloud space; we have no access to these files.
Ownership: Your entries and memories are truly private and fully under your control.
To maintain the "Feel Calm" experience and ensure the app functions smoothly, we collect anonymized technical data:
Usage Data: We collect aggregated interactions, such as feature usage, frequency of activity, and session durations. This data is fully anonymized and not linked to any particular user.
Device Information: We collect hardware models, operating system versions, and unique device identifiers to optimize performance.
Crash Reports: We use services like Firebase Crashlytics to identify bugs and improve stability.
Cookies & IDs: We may use Firebase installation IDs or anonymized IP addresses for geographic analytics.
We process data based on the following:
Consent: For any optional analytics or the use of Advertising IDs (like AAID/IDFA) for marketing attribution.
Legitimate Interests: To protect against fraud, ensure security, and improve our services.
Performance of a Contract: To process your VIP subscriptions or in-app purchases.

Google Analytics for Firebase: To understand usage patterns and improve the app.
Cloud Hosting: For basic app metadata (if applicable).

Retention: Usage data is typically retained for 2 months, and crash logs for 90 days.

DayBloq is not directed at individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover such data, we will take immediate steps to delete it.
Your technical information may be processed on servers outside your country. We ensure appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place to protect your data.
