Duration of the Undergraduate course in the department of Civil Engineering is for a period of about 4 years.

The eligibility criteria for the same is for candidates who have finished their PUC (10+2) with minimum 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and should have been present for atleast one of the entrance exams (CET,COMED-K,JEE)

The Library has a huge collection of over a lakh Books & E-books, along with CD's and DVD's apart from latest Journals and Periodicals.

Civil Engineering is widely regarded as the mother of all engineering branches. It is a broad discipline that merges various specializations like Environmental engineering, Geotechnical engineering, Hydraulics and Water resources engineering, Construction materials and Management, Transportation engineering, Structural engineering , Planning and Architecture.

The department has also taken an initiative in developing short online tutorials to help the students understand the fundamental topics in various subjects.

In terms of Research, the Science and Engineering research board has authorized Rs. 100000/- for the conduction of Seminar Symposia on “Use of solar energy as a water pumping system for irrigation purpose” and Indian space research organization has authorized Rs. 50000/- for conducting Seminar Symposia on; ‘Role of GIS/GPS in Integrated water’.
