Oberon plays Cathy Mallory, a socialite out with her stuffy rich friends after a night at the San Francisco Symphony. They go slumming in their furs and diamonds to a quaint jazz club called Chez Mamie where Chick and His Swing Six are playing. Cathy is clearly bored until she hears the soft strains of piano and approaches the broad-shouldered, dark-haired pianist.

That sets up the love triangle of Dan, blind Mary Willey in San Francisco, and the sophisticated Cathy Mallory in New York City. To say more about how they got to this point or where it goes would spoil the movie.

Bandleader Chick Morgan informs Cathy that Dan has quit. Cathy arranges to meet Dan at the beach and introduces herself as Mary Willey, a woman of limited means who is also blind. They begin a romantic relationship and Dan explains how he lost his sight in an automobile accident.

To continue the ruse, Cathy and longtime companion Mrs. Willey rent an inexpensive apartment. Dan is persuaded to resume writing a piano concerto. Cathy sponsors a $5,000 prize for a contest without telling him, confident that Dan's music will win. After the music wins the contest, it is to be performed at Carnegie Hall by the famed pianist Arthur Rubinstein.

Dan uses the money to undergo an operation in New York that restores his vision. At the contest, he meets Cathy and is attracted to her. He enjoys his newfound sight, spending time with her, but when he listens to the concert, it stirs memories of Mary. He advises Chick to inform Cathy that he is returning to Mary. He and Chick take the train while Cathy and her aunt fly through the night. When he arrives at the apartment, he hears Mary playing his music. He walks in, sees her and smiles. Her aunt watches approvingly from the kitchen as they embrace.

Scenes were shot in San Francisco, Trancas Beach and Lake Arrowhead, California as well as various locations in New York City. Because of logistical problems at Carnegie Hall, the entire concert was filmed on a soundstage.

For me this song (and even Scenery which has some similar parts and themes) seem to show a person who longs to be with someone but that feel like they have probably missed their chance. Or at least they aren't sure if there still is the same chance as there might have been before. And that it was their own fault that they missed their chance before as well, because as the song imply they didn't realize their own feelings from the start. The feelings changed at some point.

Referencing a window being open before and hoping a door can still open for them as well as using the image of two ships in the night, crossing each other for a short time, barely seeing each other and that Tae also already reached the shore. All of it seems to indicate that it could be too late for him and whoever he longs for. It also indicates that there was perhaps a short time where it looked like something was possible but that that time has already passed, but Tae hopes for a second change. (Similar to what he does in Scenery). He still wants there to be something that has been there before, that he missed at the time.

Basically in Scenery we see some similarities with how Tae knows his feelings now, but that he also that he possibly regrets them, or rather perhaps regrets failing last time they had a chance. In combination with the lyrics for Sweet Night that could mean the other person came before him but Tae himself didn't have those feelings at that time. Something he later regret as his feelings change or become more clear to him. He also seems to want a second chance, asking for the person to come in front of him again. And also that he wants to make them his and looks forward to see what a possible future could hold. So a lot of similarities but in the end a bit more hopeful and certain compared to Sweet night. He knows what he wants, to make the other person his. So despite Sweet Night being a bit hesitant together with Scenery and even more with a Vmin perspective of all other Vmin songs, I think the outcome was a happy one.

Either way, what it looks like IF it even is about Jimin at all, is that their relationship is (or was) complicated and that Taehyung is a bit unsure and afraid about what they are and if Jimin would feel the same.

Could this not be a time when these words are desperately needed. With so much animosity alive and intent on bringing chaos, we need such words of inspiration so that we might turn inward to find God and outward to show god like understanding to our world citizenry.

I was privileged to be able to sing O Holy Night in my church choir at midnight masses during my 6th, 7th. and 8th grades. It is my favorite Christmas song ever!! Our choir got many praises and thank you so from those who were at those midnight masses.

In the physical world, that place is Pakistan, but within the spiritual domain, Qawwali is a vigorous expression of Islamic Sufism, particularly the Sufi belief that music and poetry possess a unique power to lift the consciousness of listeners. Qawwali should fill an audience with ecstasy, energy, enlightenment; although most western listeners have little understanding of specific song meanings or the Sufi background, they can still experience an exhilarating uplift when they hear a great singer like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

Nightsong Band is a must hire!

We can't say enough good things about Nightsong! I have been to 30+ weddings with my (now) husband, and Nightsong brought the absolute best energy to our wedding reception! They learned our first dance song which was by a country singer. I was admittedly worried about it not sounding the same, but they absolutely crushed it and it sounded just like the artist!

I have never seen a dance floor that electric and that packed throughout the entire duration of the reception! Everyone is still talking about it. No one wanted to leave the dance floor, and I didn't even get a chance to see the dessert table that is how much fun we all were having. Even the guests who aren't big dancers were out there living their best lives! The vibes were immaculate.

So many of our guests have told us that Nightsong was the best wedding band they have seen and heard, and we couldn't agree more. Our venue is already exploring how to hire them for future club events. You MUST hire this band you will not regret it!

Hi Bennett,

Now that we have fully recovered from that dance floor, we just wanted to send a sincere thank you for the best night ever! We have never seen a dance floor so packed for the entire time and we have been to 30 weddings together! Everyone is raving about Nightsong and how incredible you all were.

We sincerely appreciate you sending over the arrangement. That is so special and such a nice touch, and we will definitely be getting it framed for our apartment!

I (Caroline) will also pass along to my parents as well. Thank you again, and I am so glad you all enjoyed playing for us as much as we enjoyed the music!

All the best,

Caroline & Devin

The booking process and the planning were a breeze. The band Night Song was very professional and left everyone asking for the name of the band.

Terrific, professional, with a large range of music. They were energizers the whole night!

NIGHTSONG did a fantastic job performing at our wedding. They were responsive during the lead up and provided us a large catalog to see the types of music they would perform. NIGHTSONG performed a variety of diverse music and are really outstanding musicians. All the singers were extremely talented and everything sounded so great in our venue. They are highly professional and have clearly been doing this for a long time. We highly recommend NIGHTSONG if you want to dance and keep your guests dancing all night long.

Simply Amazing!

Our wedding day was absolutely magical, and Nightsong and Mirna played a huge part in making it so unforgettable. Nightsong was the perfect choice for our wedding band they played an incredible mix of classic and contemporary tunes that kept everyone out on the dance floor all night long. Their energy was contagious, and they truly made the atmosphere feel like a celebration of love and happiness. I was on the fence whether to have a live band or a DJ and ultimately chose to have a live band as my friend showed us Nightsong. If you are considering having a live band at your wedding you have to choose Nightsong.

As for Mirna, she was an absolute lifesaver throughout the entire planning process. She went above and beyond to make sure that every detail was taken care of and that our vision for the day was brought to life. From the flowers to the decor to the timing of events, Mirna had everything under control and allowed us to truly enjoy our special day without any stress or worry.

Overall, we cannot recommend Nightsong and Mirna enough. They made our wedding day the best day of our lives, and we will always be grateful for their incredible talent and hard work. Thank you so much for making our dreams come true!
