Sophie-Dorothee Rotermund

Sophie-Dorothee is a PhD candidate in Finance at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. She works on questions related to banks and credit markets. Her current research particularly focuses on the interaction of banks and nonbank financial institutions in the credit intermediation process.

Sophie-Dorothee completed a traineeship at the European Central Bank’s Directorate General Market Operations before pursuing her PhD studies.

Christian Mücke

Christian is a fifth-year PhD student at Goethe University and a researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE. Recently, he worked for the ECB as a consultant on money market fund reforms. His research interests lie in the area of Financial Intermediation, Financial Regulation and Systemic Risk.

Felix Martini

Felix joined Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in 2021 as a PhD student in Finance. He holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration and an M.Sc. in Finance from the University of Mannheim. Prior to joining Frankfurt School, Felix worked as an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs in London and Frankfurt. His research interests include corporate finance, banking, and capital markets. Outside of academia, Felix enjoys cooking and playing football.

Malte Heissel

Malte is a third-year PhD student in Finance at Frankfurt School. Before joining Frankfurt School Malte completed a Bachelor's and a Master's program in Business Administration at Goethe University and gained practical experience as a tax associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers. His research is at the intersections of debt finance and current challenges such as climate and Covid-19.

Ruggero Jappelli

Ruggero is a fourth-year PhD student at Goethe University and a researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE. Recently, he has visited the Stern department at NYU. His research interests lie in the area of financial economics and asset pricing.
