As a Finance Chair, I managed a budget of approximately $400,000, using Excel and Google Sheets to track, analyze, and report all financial transactions. I developed detailed spreadsheets to monitor utilities, expenses, and income, ensuring all payments were processed efficiently and on time. I also created comprehensive budgeting templates that allowed for accurate financial forecasting and real-time adjustments.
These experiences helped me develop essential Excel and Google Sheets skills, including mastering formulas and data visualization techniques. I gained proficiency in creating various types of graphs, such as bar, pie, and line charts, to effectively communicate data insights and trends.
(Unfinished - Current)
This is my current project I am working on. It involves an elementary school near my home that is receiving statistics from their Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program (ACAP). They use these statistics to make decisions such as placing kids in intervention, evaluating teacher proficiency, and comparing entire schools to others in order to highlight exceptional schools and identify underperforming ones.
In order to help, I have created tables from the raw data of the scores and formatted them with cutoff scores. After this, I created an Excel spreadsheet that provides statistics on the various classes, showing how many students are improving throughout the year and meeting requirements. I have done this on both a per-teacher basis and a school-wide basis to make the statistics more accessible for decision makers.
