What does a day in the life of Dawson Willmeth look like? I live in Seneca, Kansas with a very loving family which includes my mom, Dona, my dad, Jack, and my brother, Kent, who is currently finishing his fifth and final year of college. I have a dog, Nixon, who, even though he is 12 years old, still thinks and acts like a puppy. Speaking of puppies, the newest member of our pets is very special member. He is a black lab named Frosty, and I am training him to be a service dog for my senior project. With all these incredible members of my family, I truly do have a lot to be thankful for.
This senior project has been a very strenuous project, and it has come with a lot more work than I initially thought. It has been a reflection of how I have handled myself as a student at Nemaha Central High School during my senior year.
I am very excited to start my new life as a college student. I will meet so many new people and get a whole new perspective on this crazy world we live in. At the time of writing this, I am undecided on my major, however I am beginning to lean toward pursuing a business degree. I have always loved math and that will work very well with a career in business finance management.
Throughout my life thus far, I have always tried to go out of my way to help people. If everyone in the world went out of their way to help at least one person everyday, it would be a much happier place. Everyone would feel like a good neighbor. Nothing is more fulfilling than brightening someone’s day. As Charles Dickens once said, “No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”
