Davionna Phillips grew up in Essex County, New Jersey, in a family full of athletes, artists, and educators. Encouraged by mentors, coaches, and friends, she combined her interests in sports, performing arts, and social studies, which led her to filmmaking. Her diverse background helps her understand different perspectives and experiences, allowing her to tell authentic stories that connect with people from many backgrounds.

While playing college basketball at Pace University, Davionna earned a BS in Digital Cinema and Filmmaking and an MA in Communication and Digital Media. She has skills in  producing, cinematography, screenwriting, directing, video editing, and digital content creation. Thanks to the support of her professors and classmates, she built a strong visual portfolio that highlights a variety of stories and real-life experiences.

At Pace, Davionna worked in the Athletic Communications department as a live stream and camera operator for sports events. She also co-produced, directed, and edited videos for Pace Athletics’ social media and YouTube channels. She helped lead creative projects like the Athlete Diversity Committee’s Black History Month Celebrations, which showcased underrepresented voices in sports.

Davionna is the founder of DaviFilmsMedia, where she offers film and photography services to help creators, athletes, artists, and families share their stories. She covers events, makes promotional videos, creates highlight reels for athletes, takes family portraits, produces social media content, and makes creative short films. Through her work, she aims to entertain, educate, and highlight unique perspectives, creating visuals that spark conversation and connection. She is always interested in new and meaningful storytelling projects.

I'm looking forward to sharing space and collaborating with creators who want to showcase different experiences in a society that typically doesn't have a voice. We can spread awareness and discuss peculiar views. My biggest goal is to entertain and educate people while developing my brand.
