If you want to separate your audio recordings in different tracks, follow these settings:
Create a Scene, and then add the a Source of type macOS Screen Capture:
2. Go to 'Settings' -> 'Output' and set the 'Output mode' to 'Advanced'
3. Go to the 'Recording' tab
3. Set the 'Recording Format' to 'mkv'
4. Tick the 'Audio Track' boxes for the number of audio tracks you are going to use in your recording.
5. Set 'Encoder' to anything other than '(Use stream encoder)' if you want the option to pause the recording
4. Go to 'Edit' menu -> 'Advanced Audio Properties' and tick a box for each track you want to link to a specific audio source
Once you finish your video recording, when importing the recorded file to a video editor and throw it to the timeline, it will appear with several audio tracks
Recording with 'mkv' is mandatory if you want to record different audio tracks on the same file. However, not all video editors support 'mkv' files. For this reason, you can set OBS to automatically remux to 'mp4' once the recording ends. It will generate a 'mkv' file and a 'mp4' file.
Go to 'Settings' -> 'Advanced' -> 'Recording' and tick 'Automatically remux to mp4' box
