PetronixConsoleOS 5.0 is FINALLY done with it's 2-year-long Beta stage! But... don't get too excited. Build 0 isn't a very huge update.
This update primarily removes some things to help continue the roadmap/timeline more easily.
But it's an update either way! So, what's new?
Control Panel:
In the Personalization page, you may notice that there's no "Change Screensaver (not ready)" option anymore. That may or may not be an upcoming feature in the next version of PetronixConsoleOS.
Another thing you may notice is that the third option here is now "Aero3D Settings" instead of "Aero3D Basic Settings".
6 new Start buttons to choose now! Yeah. A bit more personalization options.
PetronixConsoleOS Store (PCOS Store):
New message in the PCOS Store. Again...
This time, however, there are no new things to buy. Sorry, but... the development has gotten too ambitious for too long.
In the Personalization tab, there's now only Wallpapers. Screensavers and Aero3D Scene options have been removed and preserved for later versions of PetronixConsoleOS.
Other changes:
Quick Menu
The Quick Menu got a slight change. Just like in the Control Panel, the Aero3D option now says "Aero3D Settings" instead of "Basic Aero3D Settings".
"This PC" is now "Your PC"
Just a minor, but personal change. "This PC" sounded a bit corporate, so it has been changed to "Your PC", because it's yours.
Bug Fixes:
There weren't any bugs reported or found in Beta 5, so no bug fixes in Build 0.
