He earned All-State honors on the basketball court during his junior and senior years, following impressive performances in regional playoffs, where he scored 29 and 38 points in consecutive games. His skills in track and field also set him apart, with school and county records in the Long Jump and the 300-meter hurdles.
In football, Kircus showcased versatility, excelling as a running back and receiver. His ability to make plays on offense and special teams earned him recognition across the state. His strong performance on the field included averaging 10.5 yards per carry and impressive averages for punt and kickoff returns. Throughout high school, he scored over 60 touchdowns while contributing as a safety, kicker, and punter.
After high school, Kircus attended Grand Valley State University (GVSU), where he continued to make a name for himself in football. Under Coach Brian Kelly, he played a pivotal role in leading GVSU to its first National Championship title. While at the university, he set numerous NCAA records, including breaking Jerry Rice's record for touchdowns in a season. He scored 35 touchdowns in his junior and senior seasons and finished his college career with 80 receiving touchdowns, a remarkable feat that earned him a place in college football history.
Kircus was also invited to the Hula Bowl in Hawaii, where he earned Overall and Offensive MVP honors for his performance. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, laying the foundation for his professional career in both football and business.

David is a dedicated family man. He is married to his wife, and they have three children together. Outside of his professional commitments, he is passionate about continuing his education. He recently earned a master’s degree in Kinesiology, specializing in Sports Management, and is pursuing an Education Doctorate in Leadership Studies.
