I have been interested in photography in a general way since I was in grade school.
When I joined the navy in 1968 I spent a lot of time in Asia. This was during the Vietnam War and yes I'm a veteran of this war.
During my time there I was able to purchase my first SLR 35mm film camera. It was a Nikon F and I purchased two prime lenses to use with it. A 35mm & 50mm Nikkor set. These lenses and camera allowed me to capture many events during my military activities and ports of call in the late 60's and early 70's. I primarily used slides vs standard negative film. These slides that are 50+ years old still have the vibrant colors they recorded originally. I have digitally converted a good number of them. While today my digital cameras and smartphone are my day to day tools, once in a while I break out the old "F" and "F-4" to shoot some film for fun. it's old school to be sure.
When I retired from the corporate world many years ago, I started my photography business. I became one of the so called starving artists as what work I was able to sell and commission work I contracted didn't make me rich but made me happy and sane.
I will present some of my archived photography here in my website pages. These will be images I like to share and hopefully the viewer will find interesting.
Note: When viewing my website on a smartphone put the phone in a landscape mode to view complete side to side images.
Thanks for visiting.
