DY3-thx12-4432: A Groundbreaking Virtual Duo Redefining Music Across Continents

Blurring Boundaries, Redefining Sound

DY3-thx12-4432 is a visionary virtual duo composed of Italian producer, sound engineer, and composer Davide Perico and Japanese guitarist Yoshimitsu4432. Despite being separated by ten thousand kilometers and never having met in person, the duo has forged a unique musical identity through digital collaboration. Their sound merges rock, electronic, and cinematic influences, creating immersive compositions that transcend traditional genres.

Their journey began with a chance encounter on an independent musicians' portal, leading to a remarkable creative synergy. Within just a week, they had recorded and released their debut EP on May 17, 2021. This rapid, boundary-defying collaboration set the stage for their first full-length album, DARK PLANET. Inspired by sci-fi themes, the album delves into emotions of solitude, hope, and human identity, blending raw energy with futuristic soundscapes. Alongside the album, they produced a computer graphics film of the same name, directed by Davide Perico, expanding on these themes through a visual narrative.

Their music videos for Space D and Zero Atmospheres, created using computer-generated imagery, have garnered international recognition, winning awards at prestigious film festivals such as the Vesuvius International Film Fest, Black Swan International Film Festival, Berlin Shorts Award, and many more. Yoshimitsu4432, an accomplished guitarist influenced by rock, EDM, hip-hop, and funk, has performed at Japan’s Summer Sonic festival with the band NEON GRAVITY. Meanwhile, Davide Perico continues to establish himself as a sought-after composer for films and video games, bringing a cinematic edge to their sound.
