I'm David Carter, an aspiring Cybersecurity Analyst with more than a decade of experience in operations, logistics, and safety-focused environments where attention to detail, accountability, and risk management were essential to success.
Currently, I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Franklin University. I have completed the Google Cybersecurity Certificate through Merit America. Through hands-on labs, projects, and practical exercises, I have developed experience with log analysis, vulnerability assessment, network monitoring, incident investigation, and security tools including Splunk, Wireshark, Linux, Nmap, and SQL.
My background has taught me how to remain calm under pressure, solve problems systematically, and make informed decisions in environments where mistakes can have significant consequences. These skills translate directly to cybersecurity, where protecting systems, data, and people requires both technical knowledge and disciplined decision-making.
This portfolio showcases projects and hands-on exercises that demonstrate my growing cybersecurity skill set and commitment to continuous learning. I am actively seeking opportunities to apply these skills in an entry-level cybersecurity, SOC analyst, security analyst, or IT role while continuing to expand my technical expertise.
What drives me is simple: protecting systems, data, and people in an increasingly connected world. I am committed to continuous learning and to becoming a trusted security professional who strengthens organizational resilience and reduces risk.
