I’m not going to tell you what you expect to hear.
My first aim in any consultancy is to work out what problem actually needs solving by acting as a critical friend and questioning everything I’m told. A problem solver is no good to you if you've mis-identified the problem.
I take a systems approach to understanding a challenge — looking for complex interactions rather than simple linear explanations that might lead to unintended consequences.
All this means that, when I propose solutions, it will often be as a result of reframing the problem.
