3. Civil volunteers

The French Polar Institute supplies each year the wintering of young scientists (Civil volunteers, VSC, http://vsc.ipev.fr/) and summer expeditions. This support includes travel to the Kerguelen Islands from Metropolitan France (French scientists) or from La Réunion (foreign collaborators), accommodation on board Marion-Dufresne, the supply ship and at the Crozet archipelao, Kerguelen Islands or Amsterdam Islands during the stay. Within the Subanteco IPEV 136 framework, IPEV will supply each year salary and accommodation for three young scientists (VSCs), of which one will be working at the Crozet archipelago and two at the Kerguelen Islands during 12-13 months.
