David Rattray

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Toronto. I received my PhD in Philosophy from U of T in 2025. 

I work primarily in the philosophy of the life and mind sciences. My current research focuses on natural agency and how it is tied to an organism's capacity to represent its environment in various ways. This involves attendant questions in the philosophy of biology, cognitive science, and action.

I also have interests in the history and philosophy of psychiatry and biology.
