David Braun

I am a Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University at Buffalo, and the former Patrick and Edna J. Romanell Chair in Philosophy.

I continue to work mostly in philosophy of language. I have written about non-referring terms, indexicals and demonstratives, attitude ascriptions, questions and answers, and various other topics. Before I retired, I regularly taught courses in philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, logic, and introduction to philosophy.

This picture of me was taken in the Arabian Room of the Palácio da Bolsa (Stock Exchange Palace) in Porto, Portugal.
