Dave Cosby's Professional Development ePortfolio

My name is Dave Cosby, and I am a music teacher at Besant Hill School in Ojai, California. This is my Professional Development e Portfolio where I will share some of my professional development work this year at Besant Hill School. Since I was very young, I have always wanted to be involved in music, and that is all I have done professionally in one capacity or another. My goal with this ePortfolio is to use it as a forum that will allow me to share my work with others, while at the same time serve as a way for me to reflect on my goals and objectives this year as a teacher, as well as further define and refine my work as I share it with others. For the school year of 2018-2019 I have three main goals as a teacher:

• • • • • • • • • Assessment: Through my work with my Professional Learning Group, my goal is to develop and refine more objective standard and criteria for assessment of student work both of a formative and of a summative nature.

                • Curriculum: I will create a book about learning and using the Minor Pentatonic Scale

                • Classroom Instruction and Music Technology: This year I will use and organize various types and modes music technology as my significant supplement to my classroom instruction and homework.
