One of my earliest favorite hobbies was aerial photography. My second rig is shown below. I built it in my rural apartment in Japan from an RC servo controller, parts from an old inkjet printer, aluminum from a scrapped bus stop, and the lightest 35 mm film camera I could buy.
The coolest thing about my design is how it uses only 2 servos to control 3 functions: pan, tilt, and shutter. CW on the second servo triggers the shutter, CCW pulls a pawl to ratchet a gear that spins the whole rig a few degrees with each stroke.
