Yoga has truly evolved with me, transforming from a physical exercise to a profound spiritual practice. It's become my foundation, keeping me focused on the here and now, a vital tool in managing my anxiety, ADHD, and OCD.Â
After 10+ years as a student, I completed my 200-hour teacher training at Bhakti Barn Yoga in Millburn, NJ in 2025, and call Alluem Yoga in Cranford, NJ, my home studio where I'm a substitute instructor. I'm honored to be one of their newest Alluem Kids instructors. I'm currently receiving my kids yoga certification through Little Flower Yoga, NYC.
For years, I've had the privilege of working with individuals of all abilities and ages, fostering growth and love for their own well-being.
As a K-6 certified teacher and historian, I honor yoga's rich history and the 8 limbs, moving beyond traditional asana by incorporating contemporary music, and art into my classes. My background as a cheerleader and marketing manager fuels my creative and experimental approach, while Tricia Hersey's "Rest Is Resistance" and Glennon Doyle's "We Can Do Hard Things" guide my personal journey. This blend of spirituality and lightheartedness help me foster open, engaging environments where students of all ages feel empowered to explore their bodies, minds, and souls.
My experience as an assistant to children's programs and founding director of preschool camp in Berkeley Heights, along with my role as a Coordinator for Special Needs programs at a non-profit in Mountainside, has shown me the transformative power of mindful movement and creative expression. This passion was also at the heart of my work at Compass SchoolHouse, and Franklin Food Bank. Where I've spent years teaching, building community engagement, and creative communications and marketing best practices. I infuse my classes with the same joyful, inclusive spirit, blending traditional asana with curiosity and contemporary music to create an engaging and empowering environment.
Driven by my passion for education, joyful living, and the transformative power of yoga, I specialize in embodiment. My vision is to introduce yoga to everyone, expanding your practice of intentionality for current practitioners in a joyful, accessible way. This unique approach not only fosters physical well-being and mindfulness but also encourages contemplation of spirituality and a healthy relationship with your body, mind, and spirit.
I hope you will leave practice with me feeling energized, grateful, loose, and peaceful. Interested in working together for your event, personal practice, or your child's practice? Reach out to me today!
