Daulat Ram College is a premier educational institution in Delhi founded by an educationist late Shri Daulat Ram Gupta in 1960. It is a prestigious women’s college engaged in imparting liberal education to women. The college, a large constituent college of the University of Delhi, originally started as “Pramila College” at 22, Tilak Marg with thirteen members of teaching and two non-teaching staff with about 350 students. In 1964, the college shifted to its present premises in North Delhi University campus and was
renamed as Daulat Ram College. The institution has since grown into a full-fledged extended college of University of Delhi. The college has acquired a strong identity and has evolved into a prestigious women’s college with its own distinct culture and traditions. It imparts education towards degrees at the bachelor’s level in arts, commerce and science and Masters level in arts.

Daulat Ram College is a premium college for women in Delhi University, founded by the individualistic educationist, Late Shri Daulat Ram Gupta in 1960. The institute, a large constituent college of University of Delhi, originally started as ‘Pramila College’ and was renamed as Daulat Ram College in 1964 as it grew into a full-fledged extended college of University of Delhi. It imparts education at the Bachelors level in Arts, Science and Commerce. It also enrolls students at the Masters Level and hold M.A. Tutorials.
The vibrant mix of the cocurricular and extracurricular activities both at the intracollege and inter college levels adds to the multidimensional character of the college. I feel privileged to be the Chairperson of such an institution and carrying forward the vision of its founder Daulat Ram Gupta, as his descendant.

Daulat Ram College, a Star college, is one of the oldest and largest women colleges of the city imparting holistic and quality education in the field of Science, Humanities and Commerce. The college is located in the north campus of University of Delhi. The intake capacity for undergraduate program is approx. 1200 students in all streams combined together. The college has a fully air conditioned hostel with first year intake of approx. 70 students.
It is a home away from home with 24X7 internet and computing facility. It is a great pleasure as Principal to welcome you all to the beginning of your lifelong association with this College. We live in an era when knowledge is growing in importance in addressing the world’s most pressing problems.

Students you should be assured that you are about to be admitted to Daulat Ram College, which is a renowned affiliated college of Delhi University. The college imparts holistic education to female students by training students in education coursework as well as in co-curricular activities and extracurricular activities. The college also gives a chance to add additional skills for your progression into your career path by providing you the opportunity to participate in Skill Development Programs (SDP) which are conducted by the college faculty, in summer and winter breaks. These SDPs can provide you training in various fields like Digital literacy, Bioinformatics, Music, cyber crimes and many more areas of interest. You can register yourself to any of these courses which are launched from time to time by various departments.
We are also launching some additional new add on courses like Awareness in Legal Literacy , R analytics, Happiness and Well being this academic session. You can enrol for any of these along with your degree course. It's up to you how much interest you can take, work with energy and passion to make the best use of campus life at Daulat Ram College.
