# Dating Signals — Terms of Use (EULA)

## 1. Acceptance
Welcome to **Dating Signals** (the “App”). The App is offered by **[Insert developer or company legal name]** (“we,” “us”) through the Apple App Store.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Use (the “Agreement”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
This Agreement supplements Apple’s **Licensed Application End User License Agreement** (**Standard EULA**). If anything in this Agreement conflicts with Apple’s mandatory terms or applicable law, Apple’s terms or the law govern.

## 2. The service
### 2.1 Overview
The App lets you import **dating-related chat screenshots**, runs **OCR** and **on-device** analysis, and presents interest, tone, risk notes, suggested replies, and similar **informational** content, with optional local history.
### 2.2 Nature and limitations
- Outputs are for **information and reflection only** and are **not** a guarantee of anyone’s intent, facts, or future behavior.
- The App does **not** provide legal, medical, mental-health, financial, or other professional advice; for emergencies or high-risk situations, seek qualified human help or emergency services.
- Quality depends on screenshot clarity, context, and on-device model availability; results may be wrong or incomplete.
### 2.3 Free and Premium
Free users may use allowances described in the App (for example, limited analyses and follow-ups). **Premium** unlocks additional features as shown in the App and on the App Store.

## 3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be able to form a binding contract where you live.
- The App **does not** require a separate cloud account; subscription identity and billing are managed through your **Apple ID**.

## 4. Your content and acceptable use
You are responsible for imported content and represent that you have the right to use it for personal analysis in the App.
You must not:
- Upload unlawful, infringing, non-consensual intimate, child sexual abuse, or other prohibited content;
- Use the App to harass, stalk others, or violate third-party platform rules;
- Reverse engineer, circumvent protections, or automate abuse of the App (except where prohibited by law).
You are solely responsible for consequences of violating these rules.

## 5. Intellectual property
UI, copy, branding, software (except open-source components under their licenses), and related materials are owned by us or our licensors.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create commercial derivatives without written permission, except as allowed by fair use or similar doctrines.

## 6. Subscriptions, billing, and Apple’s role
Key rules for **auto-renewable subscriptions** also appear in **Subscription Terms** in this folder. If anything differs slightly, the **App Store purchase sheet** and **Apple’s subscription terms** control.
- **Merchant of record:** Subscription charges are billed by **Apple** to your **Apple Account**.
- **Auto-renewal:** Unless you turn off auto-renewal **at least 24 hours** before the end of the current period, the subscription renews automatically.
- **Price and term:** As shown on the App Store at purchase; we may change prices by region or over time; new prices apply to subsequent renewals (subject to required notice).
- **Manage / cancel:** **Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions** on iOS. After cancellation, you typically retain access until the end of the paid period.
- **Restore purchases:** Available in the App; use the same **Apple ID** after reinstall or on a new device.
- **Refunds:** Handled through **Apple**; we do not guarantee any refund outcome.

## 7. Changes and termination
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features for product, technical, or legal reasons.
If Premium ends or expires, paid features stop according to the product rules after the current paid period.
You may stop using and delete the App at any time. We may terminate access where permitted by law and App Store rules (for example, serious breach).

## 8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The App is provided **“as is”** and **“as available”** **without warranties of any kind**, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
- We do not warrant **uninterrupted** or **error-free** service or **perfect** OCR or model output.
- We disclaim **indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages** arising from use or inability to use the App, to the extent allowed by law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers; in those cases, disclaimers apply to the maximum extent permitted.

## 9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claims relating to the App is limited to the **greater of (a) zero or (b) the amount you paid for Premium subscriptions for the App in the twelve (12) months before the claim** (through Apple).
These limits do not apply where prohibited by law (for example, intentional misconduct or gross negligence where applicable).

## 10. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our affiliates from claims, losses, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising from your breach of this Agreement, misuse of the App, or violation of third-party rights, to the extent permitted by law.

## 11. Governing law and disputes

## 12. Miscellaneous
- **Severability:** If a provision is invalid, the rest remains in effect.

- **Assignment:** We may assign this Agreement in connection with a merger or sale of assets, subject to applicable notice rules.
- **Entire agreement:** This Agreement, the Privacy Policy, Subscription Terms, and App Store requirements form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App (to the extent permitted by law).
