* The Practice
I help organizations transform existing data into clear insights, meaningful reports, and confident decisions.
My work sits at the intersection of analysis, communication, and public impact.
Rather than focusing on collecting more data or building increasingly complex systems, I focus on helping teams make better use of the information they already have.
This practice was built around a simple idea:
Good data should reduce uncertainty, not create more of it.
Whether I’m working with a small business, a research initiative, a grant-funded project or non profit organization, the goal is the same: to make data more accessible, useful, and easier to act on.
* Mission
To help organizations understand and communicate the impact of their work through clear analysis, thoughtful reporting, and accessible data visualization.
I believe that valuable insights are often already present in existing spreadsheets, survey responses, attendance records, and feedback forms.
My role is to help uncover those insights and present them in ways that support decision-making, funding applications, evaluation, and public communication.
* What I Value
Clarity over complexity
The most useful analysis is not necessarily the most complicated. I prioritize reports, visuals, and explanations that people can quickly understand and confidently use.
Human-centered data
Behind every dataset are people: participants, audiences, customers, volunteers, researchers, and communities. Data should help us understand those experiences, not reduce them to numbers alone.
Evidence with context
Numbers become meaningful when they are interpreted alongside the goals, constraints, and realities of a project. I aim to provide analysis that is both accurate and relevant.
Calm technology adoption
AI and automation can be valuable tools, but they do not need to be applied everywhere. I support practical, intentional uses of technology that genuinely improve understanding, accessibility, or efficiency.
Collaboration
Good reporting begins with listening. I work with organizations to understand what they are trying to learn, communicate, or demonstrate, and shape the analysis around those needs.
* Who I am and what I do
I'm Mariia Stepaniuk, a data analyst with a degree in Physics/ Astronomy and experience in government, research, and with cultural projects.
I specialize in turning existing data into clear insights, visual reports, and practical recommendations. My work combines analytical thinking with clear communication, helping organizations better understand and share the impact of their work.
From grant reporting and program evaluation to business insights and data visualization,
my goal is to make data more accessible, useful, and actionable.
Beyond analytics, I'm also a poet with a long-standing interest in arts and culture.
I believe the best decisions are made when evidence and human understanding work together.
